Description

A Cockpit Shade can provide effective sun and rain protection for your cockpit area.  This shade covering hangs from the mainsail halyard, and is tied forward to the mast and back to the backstay.  If no there is no backstay, a stern rail can also be used.  Three battens support the cover from port to starboard (across the boat), and it can be further stabilized on windy days with tie down points at the end of each batten.

Made from Weathermax 8.0, a long lasting UV and water resistant fabric, with several color options, this shade covering is available in several different sizes ranging from 10′ x 8′ to 13′ x 13′. From the middle batten back, the aft end tapers slightly, so that it is about 90% of the width of the front.
